Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients to identify their specific needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their conditions.
- Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities, to restore strength, mobility, and function.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery and meet therapeutic goals.
- Educate and empower patients and their families by providing guidance on self-management strategies, home exercise programs, and progress expectations.
- Collaborate with our clinical staff to coordinate care and share insights that contribute to optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, with familiarity in WebPT considered a plus.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with patients of all ages, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. Utilizing a patient-centered approach, you will focus on not only physical recovery but also emotional support to ensure full rehabilitation.
Qualifications
- A valid Michigan Physical Therapist license is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is mandatory.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of physical therapy principles and practice.
- Ability to apply clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills in a dynamic setting.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is strongly preferred, although exceptional new graduates will also be considered.
- Experience in manual therapy techniques and patient education is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrable communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this full-time position ranges between $90,000 and $110,000, contingent on experience and qualifications.
