Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in conducting evaluations and formulating evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
- Implement rehabilitation protocols for patients recuperating from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain, or recovering from sports injuries.
- Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and other therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and enhance mobility.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and lifestyle modifications to aid long-term recovery and prevent future injuries.
- Document patient progress accurately and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards.
- Foster a positive therapeutic relationship with patients, motivating them throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal continuity of care for all patients.
- Participate in ongoing training, mentoring sessions, and clinical discussions to promote a culture of learning and excellence within the team.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The patient population at Tranquil Pines primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements and fracture repairs, as well as those with chronic conditions related to musculoskeletal health. You will engage with patients of varying ages, adapting your therapeutic approach to meet their specific needs. Our focus on individualized care ensures that each patient feels valued and supported throughout their rehabilitation process.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
- Current Oregon Physical Therapist Assistant licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for improving patient outcomes and empowering individuals through rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in documentation and communication to facilitate effective teamwork.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a rehabilitation facility with an emphasis on orthopedic treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
