Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in evaluating and treating patients with orthopedic conditions, adhering to established evidence-based protocols.
- Implement and monitor rehabilitation plans focused on improving function, strength, and mobility, ensuring that each patient's unique needs are addressed.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and hands-on techniques, such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, to facilitate recovery.
- Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques, health maintenance, and injury prevention strategies to optimize long-term outcomes.
- Document patient progress meticulously and collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians and surgeons, to discuss treatment modifications when necessary.
- Participate in mentorship programs, offering guidance to less experienced staff and receiving peer support to enhance professional development.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, motivating atmosphere where high standards of clinical excellence are prioritized.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus of your work will be with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic joint pain, and those with sports-related injuries. You will engage with a diverse group of individuals, from younger athletes to elderly residents, ensuring that each treatment plan is tailored to the specific needs and goals of the patient.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.
- At least two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, ideally focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.
- An active or pending Oregon Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster patient trust and encourage compliance with treatment plans.
- A strong commitment to whole-person care and empowering patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Preferred Experience
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and management of patient data.
- Interest in continued professional development and specialization within orthopedic physical therapy.
- Experience in a long-term care facility or assisted living environment is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a strong salary package, we provide comprehensive benefits which include:
