Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized patient treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the application of modalities such as heat and cold therapy.
- Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting treatment outcomes, and communicating observations and concerns effectively with the supervising PT.
- Engage and motivate patients, offering emotional support and encouragement to help them stay committed to their rehabilitation programs.
- Prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and maintained per hygiene and safety protocols.
- Support patient flow by efficiently managing appointment schedules and advising patients on exercises and rehabilitation practices to continue at home.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals with orthopedic conditions such as joint replacements, sports injuries, and post-operative care. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating their recovery journey, addressing both physical and emotional needs, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.
Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possession of a current Missouri PTA license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an authentic passion for providing empathetic patient care.
- Ability to follow clinical instructions, stay organized, and demonstrate a proactive, independent work ethic.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably within an orthopedic setting.
- Experience in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information and treatment progress.
- Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques relevant to orthopedic care.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 per year, contingent upon your experience and qualifications.
