Key Responsibilities
- Execute individualized treatment protocols designed by Physical Therapists, ensuring adherence to established standards and practices.
- Guide patients through various therapeutic exercises, stretches, and functional training techniques, facilitating active involvement in their own recovery process.
- Implement manual therapy techniques and use physical modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation to help manage pain and improve mobility.
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) and actively communicate findings and updates with the care team.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding home exercises, wellness strategies, and preventive measures to promote long-term health.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient interventions and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of care delivery.
- Encourage and motivate patients, fostering a positive atmosphere during therapy sessions that helps build trust and rapport.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse range of patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your capacity to build relationships with patients will be essential as you support them in achieving their personalized recovery goals, enhancing their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possession of a valid PTA license or eligibility to obtain one in the state of Missouri.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor that fosters trust with patients and coworkers.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting or clinical internships emphasizing orthopedic therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range between $60,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience, plus potential performance-based bonuses.
