Work Environment
This full-time position requires you to work onsite in a hospital-based outpatient orthopedic clinic. Your typical work hours will be from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a balanced work-life schedule. The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and technologies including therapeutic modalities, exercise equipment, and manual therapy tools that support better recovery outcomes for patients. This setup promotes a dynamic and productive work environment where you can effectively implement therapy techniques and collaborate with your peers.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute individualized treatment interventions as designated by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring each session adheres to the outlined care plan.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional training, guiding them through each step to maximize their recovery.
- Utilize manual therapy techniques to address pain and enhance mobility, adapting approaches based on patient responses.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to communicate effectively with the care team.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, home exercise programs, and preventative measures to support long-term health.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care and refining therapeutic techniques.
- Provide continuous encouragement and support to patients, helping to foster a positive environment that promotes recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation following joint replacements and sports injuries. Our patient population may also include individuals coping with chronic pain, orthopedic disorders, and those seeking to enhance their physical function. Your approach will be holistic, considering the individual needs and goals of each patient while working collaboratively with the supervising Physical Therapists to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Qualifications
- Successfully completed an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient care and a desire to make a genuine impact on individuals' lives.
- Show adaptability and a willingness to learn new techniques and treatment philosophies.

Preferred Experience
- Prior experience or clinical internship in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in manual therapy and exercise prescription techniques is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package for this position ranges from $60,000 to $65,000 annually, along with a variety of benefits designed to support your professional and personal well-being.
