Work Environment
The successful candidate will work onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Florissant. This full-time role requires adherence to a Monday through Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent and stable work-life schedule while enjoying weekends off. You will be part of a collaborative team that interacts closely with licensed physical therapists in a fast-paced but welcoming atmosphere. Our clinic is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology, providing you with the tools needed to deliver effective treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individualized therapy programs tailored to the needs of each patient.
- Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities, such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, while providing patient education on recovery processes.
- Continuously monitor and document patient progress through detailed record-keeping, ensuring updates are communicated effectively to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Foster a motivational and supportive environment to help encourage patients as they work through their rehabilitation.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, including preparing the workspace for each patient and ensuring all necessary materials are readily available.
- Assist with patient flow and coordination of treatment schedules to optimize operational efficiency.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this PTA role, you will primarily interact with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your ability to develop a rapport with patients will be essential for encouraging their active participation in rehabilitation exercises. This role is pivotal in helping patients restore their function and improve their quality of life, ultimately contributing to their long-term health and wellness.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field is required.
- Current Missouri PTA license or eligibility to obtain it.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a profound passion for providing exceptional patient care.
- Capability to follow detailed instructions, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously within the clinic setting.

Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant clinical setting, preferably within orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Experience using physical therapy equipment and modalities would be considered a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this full-time position ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
