Vital Body Wellness is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Pahrump, Nevada. This full-time, onsite position is integral to our outpatient orthopedic practice, where you will provide exceptional support under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. As a PTA, you will be pivotal in implementing tailored therapy plans that enhance patients' recovery from orthopedic injuries while ensuring optimal patient care.

Work Environment
The PTA role is set within a collaborative hospital environment focused on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. Our facility is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies and resources to support patient recovery and health improvements. You will work closely with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including licensed Physical Therapists, to provide individualized care in a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Assist licensed Physical Therapists with data collection, including performing clinical tests and measurements during initial evaluations, ensuring that patient information is accurately documented and communicated.
Implement the individualized therapy plan of care by executing therapy procedures under the direction of the supervising therapist, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocol.
Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment techniques as necessary, based on ongoing evaluations of patient status and responses to interventions.
Identifying changes in patients' physical or mental condition and reporting these observations to the supervising therapist promptly and effectively.
Coordinate treatment plans with other healthcare professionals, integrating various clinical services and community resources to optimize patient care.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to promote cohesive and client-centered care for all patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or conditions such as fractures, joint replacements, and sports-related traumas. This will involve working with a diverse patient population, including post-operative individuals and those in need of rehabilitation for chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Empathy and a patient-centered approach are essential as you help patients regain mobility and independence.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with a current Physical Therapist Assistant license from Nevada upon hire.
Completion of a nationally recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of starting the position.
Proven ability to perform physical therapy treatments and interventions competently.
Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and caregivers.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, we value candidates who are eager to learn and grow in this role. Experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation environment is a plus, as is familiarity with advanced therapy techniques and modalities.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside an attractive benefits package that includes:
