Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans that address specific patient needs, enhancing their recovery journey.
- Administer various therapeutic modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and musculoskeletal injuries.
- Utilize advanced modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient responses to each session, meticulously documenting progress to ensure alignment with established goals and treatment plans.
- Engage in collaborative discussions with the Physical Therapist and other interdisciplinary team members to modify treatment strategies based on patient evaluations.
- Provide education to patients on home exercise regimens and injury prevention techniques to encourage ongoing self-management of their recovery.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation in accordance with clinic protocols and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this position, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, such as joint replacements, fractures, and other musculoskeletal disorders. This population often includes a diverse range of individuals, from athletes seeking to recover their performance levels to elderly patients looking to regain their independence and mobility. Qualifications
- Active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in Virginia is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong foundational knowledge of physical therapy principles.
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and relevant clinical training.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient or rehabilitation setting is preferred, providing you with the skills to effectively understand and address patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
