In this full-time position, you will work collaboratively under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality care to patients undergoing rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of tailored treatment plans and monitoring patient progress to ensure effective recovery.

Work Environment
Working onsite at our hospital-based clinic in Lovelock, Nevada, you will find yourself in a vibrant, supportive environment that prioritizes patient safety and satisfaction. Our clinic is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology and therapeutic modalities, empowering our staff to provide diverse treatment options. Your schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting work-life balance while you contribute to our mission of enhancing patient mobility and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in administering prescribed treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training, utilizing manual therapy techniques and assisting with the use of specialized rehabilitation equipment.
- Monitor patient responses and document progress meticulously in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with clinic standards and regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and their families on exercise techniques, injury prevention strategies, and home care plans to foster independence and recovery.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hot/cold therapy, to enhance treatment effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the rehabilitation team, including Physical Therapists and other healthcare providers, for integrated patient care and interdisciplinary support.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clinic primarily caters to individuals with orthopedic conditions, encompassing a wide age range from young adults to seniors. You will be pivotal in treating various musculoskeletal issues, including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. By engaging with patients empathetically, you will help them navigate their rehabilitation journeys and achieve their functional goals.
Qualifications
- A valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license issued by the state of Nevada is required.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or a related field from an accredited program.
- Strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic therapy techniques, anatomy, and patient care protocols.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling meaningful interactions with patients and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, although new graduates with a strong educational background are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with electronic health records and a familiarity with telehealth platforms are advantages in this role.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
