Work Environment
The work setting is entirely onsite at our well-equipped hospital facility, which is designed to support outpatient therapy processes. Our structure promotes a stable and predictable workweek, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. This consistent timetable helps in managing a balanced caseload, enabling therapists to engage deeply with each patient. You will provide care in therapy rooms outfitted with modern equipment and resources designed to facilitate effective therapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities to assess their needs and create individualized therapy programs.
- Guide patients through carefully tailored exercise regimens aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
- Effectively communicate treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring understanding and fostering a supportive relationship throughout the recovery journey.
- Collaborate with other clinical staff members to formulate comprehensive care strategies that integrate multidisciplinary approaches for optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR) in systems such as WebPT to document patient progress and treatment interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus of this role is on patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal issues. You will work with diverse individuals ranging from active adults to older adults experiencing age-related physical challenges. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence in their physical abilities.
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapy (PT) license issued in the state of Michigan.
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate in the field.
- Strong manual therapy techniques to enhance treatment effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated clinical judgment to adjust therapies as needed based on patient progress.
Preferred Experience
While prior outpatient experience is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. However, candidates should possess a passion for orthopedic care and a willingness to learn and grow within the role. Experience in using EMR systems like WebPT will be considered advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is competitive, with annual earnings between $90,000 and $110,000, contingent upon experience and skill level. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
