Work Environment
As a full-time Physical Therapist at our facility, you will work onsite in a well-equipped orthopedic outpatient clinic. Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center is designed to enhance the healing process, featuring the latest therapeutic tools and equipment. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our patients. Our structured workweek runs Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to establish a comprehensive understanding of their physical condition, medical history, and rehabilitation goals.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure effective rehabilitation.
- Implement a variety of hands-on therapy techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, aimed at improving patient mobility and strength.
- Instruct and motivate patients in performing prescribed exercises during therapy sessions, offering guidance and correction as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques, self-management strategies, and lifestyle modifications to encourage long-term recovery and prevent re-injury.
- Document patient progress and response to treatment in an electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment strategies that optimize patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The patient population at our clinic primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. As part of our team, you will work closely with diverse clients ranging from active adults seeking to regain mobility and return to sports, to elderly patients recovering from hip or knee replacements. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journeys and helping them achieve their functional goals.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- An active Physical Therapy license valid in the state of Michigan.
- Strong knowledge of orthopedics and manual therapy techniques, with a passion for hands-on patient care.
- Proficient in using EMR systems; experience with WebPT is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with team members.
Preferred Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, specifically within outpatient orthopedic care.
- Experience with a variety of treatment modalities, therapeutic exercise programs, and patient education strategies.
- A commitment to professional development and a desire to stay updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
