Reinforce Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing team in Elk Grove, California. This full-time role is designed for PTAs who are passionate about enhancing patient mobility and overall physical health. You will play an essential role in patient recovery by implementing treatment plans under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists, ultimately supporting our mission to provide exceptional orthopedic care.

Work Environment
This position requires on-site engagement in a hospital environment where you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team comprising Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, physicians, and other health professionals. The typical schedule for this role runs from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours available such as 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in conducting comprehensive patient evaluations to identify physical limitations and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Implement and monitor treatment interventions designed to improve patients' mobility, strength, and functionality.
- Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities and hands-on techniques to treat musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
- Educate patients and their families regarding best practices for home exercise programs, adaptive technologies, and methods for preventing further injuries.
- Create detailed records of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any changes to the care plan while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
- Participate actively in team meetings and case discussions to foster a cohesive treatment approach for all our patients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, seeking advanced certifications and additional training relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will focus on a diverse patient population, ranging from young athletes to older adults managing chronic pain or recovering from surgery. Providing therapeutic support for conditions such as orthopedic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and degenerative joint diseases will be central to your role. Your ability to establish rapport with patients will be vital in facilitating their rehabilitation journey.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from a CAPTE-Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Active California PTA License and an AAS in PTA.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, showcasing your capability to evaluate and adjust treatment plans effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary for building relationships with patients, families, and team members.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems for precise documentation and progress tracking.
- Proficiency in administering a variety of treatment modalities and manual therapy techniques.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
