Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in performing thorough evaluations to determine each patient's functional performance and capabilities.
- Implement effective treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, focusing on enhancing mobility, strength, and balance through individualized therapy sessions.
- Employ manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises, addressing musculoskeletal and neurological disorders, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Document patient treatment sessions, progress notes, and outcomes using our electronic health record (EHR) system, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team including physicians, occupational therapists, and other rehabilitation specialists to coordinate comprehensive and holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and strategies for injury prevention to foster long-term wellness.
- Actively participate in professional development by pursuing continuing education and training opportunities relevant to physical therapy practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work closely with a diverse patient population, which may include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions impacting physical mobility. Your compassionate approach will be essential in fostering rapport and encouraging patient adherence to therapy protocols, ultimately enhancing their recovery journey.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Current California PTA License ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
- Solid clinical skills, demonstrating confidence in assessment and treatment methodologies.
Preferred Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting, demonstrating proficiency in handling a variety of orthopedic conditions.
- Experience working in a hospital or rehabilitation facility is highly desirable.
- Exposure to electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and patient tracking.
Compensation and Benefits
Reinforce Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range between USD 50,000 and 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our full benefits package includes:
