Work Environment
The work setting at our rehabilitation facility is vibrant and supportive, fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals. The clinic features a well-equipped orthopedic outpatient area, allowing for effective treatment and patient engagement. Our structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, offers a balanced work-life dynamic, ensuring you have time to recharge while providing top-notch patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop customized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility and overall function.
- Implement evidence-based manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises tailored to patients' unique rehabilitation goals.
- Educate patients on treatment protocols and self-management strategies to enhance recovery and long-term health outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, nursing staff, and rehabilitation aides, to deliver holistic care.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our primary focus is on patients recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-operative care, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You'll work with a diverse population, including active adults, seniors, and athletes, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your role will be crucial in helping them navigate their challenges and regain independence.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Candidates with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy will be preferred.
- An active and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in Michigan is mandatory.
- Proficiency in assessing and implementing manual therapy techniques is essential, though enthusiastic new graduates with relevant training are encouraged to apply.
- A solid understanding of EMR systems is beneficial, with experience in WebPT considered a plus.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are vital for success in this role.
Preferred Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical orthopedic setting is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with patient education and community outreach programs is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
