Key Responsibilities

• Implement patient care as outlined in the treatment plan set forth by the supervising Physical Therapist, utilizing therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques.
• Measure and document patient progress through objective assessments, and relay this information to the supervising Physical Therapist to inform treatment adjustments.
• Maintain meticulous and timely records of patient therapies, progress notes, and outcomes to ensure compliance with both state and organizational regulations.
• Organize and maintain treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment is clean, safe, and readily accessible for patient use.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care, including referrals and coordination of additional services as needed.
• Prepare and monitor therapeutic equipment for patient sessions, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise regimens and self-care techniques to reinforce in-clinic progress and promote independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required, with completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Connecticut is a must.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from various backgrounds are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to effectively collaborate in a team-oriented environment, contributing positively to a culture of support and respect.
• Basic proficiency in physical therapy equipment and technology is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, ideally in an outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits

MobiCare Rehab Center offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 – $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
