MobiCare Rehab Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated healthcare team. This full-time position is located onsite in our hospital facility in beautiful Danbury, Connecticut. The successful candidate will assist in implementing individualized patient treatment plans under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists. Key Responsibilities
- Implement approved treatment plans and therapeutic techniques, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.
- Regularly monitor and document patient progress, providing updates and insights to supervising Physical Therapists for collaborative assessment and modifications.
- Perform necessary setup of therapeutic equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and safety before patient use.
- Conduct comprehensive patient education, guiding individuals and their families on effective home exercise programs and self-care techniques to enhance recovery.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, including treatment areas and equipment, to uphold exceptional facility standards.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals as necessary to provide holistic and integrated patient care.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and contribute to the continuous improvement of rehabilitation services.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our center primarily serves a diverse outpatient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation. As a PTA at MobiCare, you will have the unique opportunity to work with patients of various ages and backgrounds, tailoring your approach to their specific rehabilitation needs. Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program; candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant licensure in the state of Connecticut.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with patients and working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to professional development and an eagerness to learn and adapt to new therapeutic methods.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge in advanced therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technology.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
Compensation and Benefits
