Work Environment
This full-time position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility, equipped with advanced therapy tools and treatment modalities. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a predictable work schedule that supports a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans crafted by licensed Physical Therapists, tailoring therapy techniques to each patient's unique needs.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, utilize manual therapy techniques, and apply modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation safely and effectively.
- Monitor and document patient responses during therapy sessions, providing timely feedback to supervising PTs regarding client progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Utilize our electronic medical records (EMR) system to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatments and outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on care plans, exercise regimens, injury prevention strategies, and recovery techniques, fostering a collaborative approach to rehabilitation.
- Support a motivating and engaging environment, encouraging a proactive attitude among both patients and coworkers.
- Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team, including other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for our patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a PTA at Motion Health PT, you will work primarily with diverse outpatient clients ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to seniors seeking to regain independence. Our approach is holistic, focusing on the unique physical challenges our patients face based on their lifestyles and goals. Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possess a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Missouri or be license-eligible.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Exhibit a patient-centric approach with a compassionate demeanor and the ability to adapt to various patient needs.
- While experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, eagerness to learn and develop is highly valued.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in an outpatient clinic is a plus, but not required. We welcome recent graduates who have a keen interest in orthopedic physical therapy and are eager to apply their knowledge in a hands-on environment. Candidates should exhibit a willingness to enhance their skills and learn new therapeutic techniques.
Compensation and Benefits
- Attractive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
