Work Environment
This position is based in our outpatient office clinic, offering a friendly and supportive atmosphere where you can work alongside a team of experienced healthcare professionals. You will typically work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a structured schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
- Administer manual therapy techniques and implement therapeutic exercises designed to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
- Educate patients about their conditions and teach self-management techniques, enhancing their understanding and commitment to their recovery.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient progress and treatments using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system for streamlined communication and compliance.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including consulting with physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists as necessary.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patients primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. As a physical therapist in our outpatient setting, you will work with diverse demographics, including young adults, working professionals, and elderly clients, tailoring your approach to each individual's specific rehabilitation journey.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Michigan is mandatory.
- Experience in manual therapy is highly valued, although we are open to considering recent graduates eager to grow their skills.
- Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, is a plus that will help facilitate your documentation processes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for effective patient interactions and teamwork.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting is strongly preferred to ensure proficiency in patient assessments and treatment plans.
- Experience working with a diverse patient population is advantageous and will enhance your ability to address a wide range of rehabilitation challenges.
Compensation and Benefits
In recognition of your skills and commitment, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
