Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite, providing therapy in clients' homes. Our intimate team atmosphere fosters collaboration and continual learning, ensuring you work alongside professionals who share your commitment to improved patient outcomes. You will enjoy a predictable schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a work-life balance that is essential for your personal and professional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities, gait, strength, and flexibility to establish individualized treatment plans.
- Implement hands-on therapy techniques and prescribed exercises to aid rehabilitation, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment protocols as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and methods to promote self-management, ensuring continuity of care beyond the clinic.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals—to ensure holistic treatment approaches.
- Utilize our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to document patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes, specifically using WebPT software for efficiency and compliance.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily work with adults recovering from various physical ailments, including post-operative rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, and aging-related mobility impairments. Your tailored therapeutic interventions will be crucial in helping patients regain their independence and enhance their everyday activities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; candidates with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy will be prioritized.
- Holding an active Physical Therapy license in the state of Michigan is essential for practice.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients through challenges.
- Demonstrated skill in manual therapy techniques, with a willingness to utilize innovative approaches in rehabilitation.
- Ability to work independently while also effectively collaborating within a healthcare team.
Preferred Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy or a related healthcare setting, although new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation and enhance patient management.
- Professional development through continuing education or specialized certifications in physical therapies is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
