Work Environment
The role of Physical Therapist Assistant at Integro will take place onsite at our hospital facility. You will engage directly with patients in a dynamic and bustling healthcare environment, collaborating closely with physical therapists, nursing staff, and other allied health professionals. Our facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technology, allowing you to employ various modalities to enhance patient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, hands-on care based on established treatment plans developed in conjunction with the supervising physical therapist.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility programs to facilitate recovery post-injury or surgery.
- Continuously monitor patient progress, ensuring that treatment goals are met and adjustments to care plans are made as necessary.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
- Educate patients about the importance of proper body mechanics and provide detailed home exercise routines to support their rehabilitation.
- Document treatment sessions and patient progress meticulously in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Foster a compassionate and motivating clinic atmosphere that encourages patient engagement and goal achievement.

Qualifications
- An accredited associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistance is mandatory, alongside a genuine passion for healthcare and rehabilitation.
- Hold an active Connecticut PTA license or possess eligibility to obtain one.
