Work Environment
This full-time position requires you to work onsite at our hospital facility in Kingman, where you will be part of a supportive and dynamic team environment. Your standard working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet patients' needs and support clinic operations. This setting allows you to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere, ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing tailored therapeutic treatment plans for patients, with a focus on mobility improvement and functional restoration.
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities, providing instruction and modifications to enhance their progress.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and safe body mechanics to facilitate their recovery journey and prevent future injuries.
- Administer various therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of skilled Physical Therapists.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking range of motion, strength improvements, and overall functional achievements. Ensure that documentation meets both regulatory and organizational standards.
- Maintain an organized treatment environment, ensuring that all therapeutic equipment and supplies are ready for therapy sessions and adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with your colleagues, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to create a cohesive approach to patient care.
- Provide empathetic support to patients, encouraging them throughout their recovery process to foster a nurturing and positive environment.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and autonomy are respected throughout treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient demographic is diverse, encompassing individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various medical conditions. You will work with patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, each requiring unique care strategies to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Your ability to adapt treatments to suit individual patient needs will be crucial in enhancing their recovery experiences.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current certification or valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy interventions relevant to various rehabilitation practices.
- Proficiency in carrying out therapeutic exercises and treatment modalities under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-centric approach with a commitment to achieving optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
- Detail-oriented mindset, coupled with strong organizational and time management skills, to ensure efficient patient care.
Preferred Experience
- At least two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Experience in a hospital or inpatient rehabilitation facility is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
