Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at our state-of-the-art hospital in Garland, Texas. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide hands-on care to patients undergoing rehabilitation, facilitate their recovery, and help enhance their overall quality of life. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.

Work Environment
The PTA will work onsite at our hospital facility, which is equipped with advanced rehabilitation tools and technologies. You will be an integral part of a collaborative healthcare environment, working closely with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other healthcare professionals. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. While most shifts are routine, occasional flexibility is expected to accommodate evolving patient needs and clinic demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans that promote patient recovery, mobility, and strength improvement.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and stretches, aiding in their physical rehabilitation process and managing pain levels effectively.
- Educate patients on proper techniques and body mechanics to optimize their rehabilitation at home and prevent further injury.
- Administer physical therapy modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately, tracking metrics such as range of motion and strength improvements to guide treatment adjustments.
- Maintain a well-organized treatment area, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available for successful therapy sessions.
- Foster a supportive environment by providing emotional encouragement to patients, thus enhancing their motivation and adherence to rehabilitation protocols.
- Work with other healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care efforts to optimize patient outcomes and overall satisfaction.
- Adhere to ethical standards of practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and respect for individual rights.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The PTA will primarily support a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals with various orthopedic and neurological conditions. Patients may include those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility and functionality. Understanding the unique needs and rehabilitation goals of these patients is critical to delivering effective care.
Qualifications
- A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Demonstrated proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises and modalities under supervision.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for positive patient interactions and collaboration with the care team.
- A compassionate, patient-centric approach with a strong desire to facilitate patients' healing journeys.
- Ability to adjust treatment approaches based on the individual needs of patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Detail-oriented with effective organizational skills and time management capabilities.

Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, candidates with previous experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting will be considered favorably. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and knowledge of contemporary physical therapy practices will also enhance a candidate's suitability for this role.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
