Gotham Enterprises Ltd is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at our rehabilitation center located in Columbus, Georgia. This full-time role involves collaborating closely with our Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality patient care and support the recovery of individuals with diverse physical therapy needs.

Work Environment
Your work setting will be within a fully-equipped hospital-based rehabilitation department, fostering a supportive and dynamic atmosphere where patient care is our top priority. The role is onsite from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility as needed to accommodate patient schedules and operational needs. This structured environment allows you to engage closely with both patients and an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at increasing patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, focusing on promoting physical well-being and alleviating pain.
- Educate patients on exercise techniques, body mechanics, and home exercise programs to enhance their recovery journey.
- Administer treatment modalities—such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and heat/cold applications—under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Regularly monitor, record, and document patient progress, tracking important metrics like range of motion and strength improvements.
- Prepare therapy areas, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care, aiming to optimize patient outcomes.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging therapeutic environment that motivates patients during their recovery process.
- Maintain professionalism and uphold ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and rights are respected at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our facility caters to a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients. You will work with patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and other physical challenges. Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assistance from an accredited institution is required.
- A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

- Proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises and administering modalities as directed by supervising Physical Therapists.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical for building rapport with patients and effectively collaborating within the healthcare team.
- A compassionate, patient-centered philosophy with enthusiasm for helping patients achieve rehabilitation goals.
- Ability to adapt patient-focused treatment plans to accommodate varying needs and conditions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working in a rehabilitation or clinical setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
