Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our esteemed rehabilitation team at our facility in Irvine, California. In this full-time, onsite role, you will play an integral part in delivering exceptional patient care and directly assisting Physical Therapists in executing personalized treatment plans aimed at maximizing recovery and improving patient functionality.

Work Environment
Situated within a modern hospital setting in beautiful Irvine, California, our rehabilitation clinic offers a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment and technologies, allowing our team to deliver top-notch care. Treatment sessions typically run from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to meet the needs of our patients and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, strength, and overall functionality for a diverse patient population.
- Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to foster physical wellness, alleviate pain, and promote effective rehabilitation.
- Educate patients on essential topics including body mechanics, self-management techniques, and home exercise protocols that support continued recovery beyond clinical sessions.
- Administer therapeutic modalities under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, heat/cold applications, and more.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas to ensure that all equipment and supplies are organized and ready for use during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate intimately with an interdisciplinary team that comprises Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists to ensure cohesive patient care and optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, creating a motivating and constructive environment throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards by ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting individual rights and privacy at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal candidate will be trained to work with a wide range of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, or seeking rehabilitation for sports-related injuries. The ability to adapt treatment to the diverse needs of adults, seniors, and children is essential to fostering optimal recovery. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and effective therapeutic interventions applicable within physical therapy practices.
- Ability to proficiently implement therapeutic exercises and modalities while following protocols established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish rapport with patients and navigate interdisciplinary collaborations efficiently.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, demonstrating a genuine desire to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
- Flexibility to adjust treatment plans to suit various populations and individual patient needs, adhering to best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Meticulous attention to detail alongside strong organizational and time management abilities to handle responsibilities effectively.

Preferred Experience
While a prior background in a clinical setting is not mandatory, any hands-on experience with patient care, rehabilitation practices, or relevant internships will be advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus, enhancing documentation accuracy and efficiency.
Compensation and Benefits
