Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, prevention strategies, and home exercise programs to encourage recovery and health maintenance.
• Document patient progress and outcomes accurately using electronic health record systems such as Net Health or Casamba, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to understand patient needs and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in rehabilitation therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at MotionUp Rehabilitation Systems, you will primarily work with elderly patients in a skilled nursing facility, many of whom are recovering from surgeries, strokes, or chronic illnesses. Your role will involve building meaningful relationships with patients to motivate and empower them in their rehabilitation journey, ultimately contributing to their independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant is required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• A current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Nevada.
• Ability to practice physical therapy in accordance with state and federal laws.
• Commitment to providing compassionate care, especially for the elderly population.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in skilled nursing facilities or similar environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with using electronic health records and documentation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team setting and adapt to changing patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

MotionUp Rehabilitation Systems offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 65,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We provide a robust benefits package that includes:
