Work Environment
Operating within a rehabilitative facility, our clinic is designed to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and support. Our standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced schedule to support your professional and personal life.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Physical Therapist, you will have a multifaceted role that includes a range of responsibilities aimed at delivering top-notch therapeutic care. Your duties will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their physical capabilities and needs.
- Developing personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's specific recovery goals.
- Implementing manual therapy techniques and modalities to restore mobility and manage pain effectively.
- Educating patients on exercises to perform at home, fostering independence in their recovery.
- Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Accurately documenting patient progress and treatment protocols within our electronic medical records (EMR) system, preferably utilizing WebPT.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients who are often seeking recovery from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain issues. You will engage with a diverse patient population, tailoring your approach to meet the varying needs of each individual. By understanding their conditions and recovery aspirations, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing their overall quality of life.
Qualifications
To thrive in this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A valid and unrestricted Michigan Physical Therapy license.
- Competence in manual therapy techniques, showcasing both skill and finesse in implementation.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, ideally with experience in WebPT.
Preferred Experience
While we welcome new graduates, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in a settings similar to outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. Candidates who have successfully managed a caseload comparable to 35 patients per week will be at an advantage. A strong foundation in evidence-based practices and a commitment to ethical patient care are highly valued.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer competitive compensation ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
