Work Environment
Our facility is equipped with modern rehabilitation technology and tools, creating an inviting atmosphere conducive to healing. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some flexibility based on patient needs and clinic operations. Team members enjoy a collaborative approach to patient care, working alongside Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists in a supportive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our facility, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting Physical Therapists in the execution of individualized treatment plans focused on patient mobility, strength enhancement, and functional independence.
- Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to alleviate pain and promote physical health.
- Educating patients on optimal body mechanics and safe exercise techniques, tailoring home exercise programs to enhance recovery.
- Administering therapeutic modalities like electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting patient progress, including tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functionality.
- Preparing treatment spaces to ensure a clean and organized environment with all necessary equipment available for therapy sessions.
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes through coordinated care efforts.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to patients, creating a motivating environment throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Adhering to professional standards and ethical guidelines while respecting patient privacy and confidentiality.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic illnesses, and age-related conditions. You will work with patients of all ages, from young athletes rehabilitating sports injuries to seniors recovering from hip replacements. This variety enriches your experience and fosters adaptability in tailoring treatment approaches to meet each patient's specific needs.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Physical Therapist Assistant role, candidates must possess the following:
- An Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- A strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Proficiency in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage with patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
