Physical Therapist (PT) – Rehabilitation Services
Facility Type: Hospital-Based Rehabilitation Department (Outpatient, Inpatient, Swing Bed & Sports Medicine)
Must Have
- Current Nebraska Physical Therapist License
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- BLS/CPR Certification
- Experience evaluating and treating orthopedic and neurological conditions
- Strong patient assessment and treatment planning skills
- Experience developing individualized rehabilitation programs
- Ability to document patient care accurately in an EMR
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to work with patients across the lifespan (Pediatrics to Geriatrics)
Preferred
- Outpatient Physical Therapy experience
- Inpatient Rehabilitation experience
- Swing Bed experience
- Orthopedic rehabilitation experience
- Joint replacement rehabilitation
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Sports medicine experience
- Experience working with high school athletes
- Experience supervising Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and clinical students
- Experience with TruBridge (Evident) EMR
Schedule
- Days: Monday–Friday
- 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week
- 10-Hour Shifts
- 4x10 Schedule Available
- Typical Shifts:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and functional assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and diagnoses
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional mobility training
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and recovery goals
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and clinical students
- Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered rehabilitation environment
- Treat a diverse patient population including pediatric, adult, geriatric, orthopedic, post-surgical, swing bed, and sports medicine patients
